Angela Lovell is an award-winning freelance writer and editor based in rural Manitoba. She recently won a Gold Award – the 2015 Jack Cram Award for Monthly Press Reporting – awarded by the Canadian Farm Writers Federation for her Country Guide article The Wide View.
Angela also won Silver in the Dick Beamish Award for Press Feature category at the 2016 Canadian Farm Writers Federation Awards in Saskatoon in October 2016. The award was for her Country Guide article Location, Location.
She has more than twenty years of writing experience and specializes in the areas of agriculture, environment, business, and rural life. She writes for many local, regional, national and international print and online publications, and for private businesses and organizations.
Besides feature and news writing, Angela also generates copy for newsletters and brochures for business, institutional, and not-for-profit clients. She has researched and prepared position papers and regularly writes business plans and grant proposals.
There is nothing that Angela loves more than writing. It is her passion. She is currently also working on a novel.
